BIM Test Lab
Welcome to the OBO BIM Test Lab! Sometimes our BIM modellers are even faster than the software developers. We do not want to keep you from the models and system families created in this way, but want to make them available to you right away for direct testing!
The OBO Test Lab contains brand-new BIM models for Autodesk Revit which can be downloaded and tested free of charge. We would really like to receive your feedback via bim@obo.de.

Mounting system for mesh cable trays
A special feature of mesh cable tray planning is that the fittings are created from the tray. Of course, we have also taken this into account in our models, meaning that the necessary mounting material is supplemented automatically. This means that planning is much simpler and that you can create a complete material list from the planning process.
To make planning as simple as possible for you, we have made the required models available for you to download as a package. The package contains the following models:
- Mesh cable tray systems
- Fittings
- Mounting material (brackets, connectors, etc.)
Test the OBO mesh cable tray systems for Revit (created in Version 2019) without having to register. The ZIP file contains both the Revit files and brief instructions. We wish you every success in planning with OBO.

Lightning protection air-termination rod systems
The field of lightning protection systems is just as important and essential in the planning process as other topics. Here, we can now offer you a range of lightning protection air-termination rod systems, which you can use in your Revit planning. The models are surface-based, allowing simple location in the project, and possess all the key attributes for exporting to a material list.
To make planning even quicker and more simple for you, we have made the following models available for you to download as a package.
- Air-termination rod systems – 1–4 m (for wind zone I, II and III)
- Some models of the isFang air-termination rod systems – 4–10 m
