New from Ackermann made by OBO: Floor sockets, which, with a closed cover, have the protection rating IP66 and protect the installation space against strong water jets. The round GES R2 floor sockets with metal cover are thus ideally suited to public areas, in which the floor is wet-cleaned.
Reliable protection against strong water jets
All GES R2 floor sockets with metal cover have obtained VDE certification with the protection rating IP66 in the closed state. When the cover is closed, the electrical resources inside are reliably protected against strong water jets. The GES R2 floor sockets with metal cover are the ideal solution for floors in public areas such as foyers or shopping malls. There, water jet protection is particularly required, because the floor is usually wet-cleaned with cleaning machines.
Three metallic cover variants
Three metallic cover variants are available: Blanking cover, hinged cover or tube body cover. Chrome, nickel, old brass or old copper are available as the surface material. The metallic blanking cover can only be opened with an Allen key and is therefore particularly suitable for public areas or temporary installations. The locking function of the metal hinged cover allows a safe cable exit in the opened state. The tube body cover has a special feature: According to EN 50085-2-2, the GES R2 floor socket with tube body cover is also suited for wet-cleaned floors when open.
Discreet and compact
The GES R2 floor sockets are ideally suited to areas which are to be discreetly supplied with power and data – whether in private housing or in public areas such as foyers or shopping malls. The compact installation socket of the GES R2 floor sockets offers space for a double socket of the Modul 45 series. There is also space for up to two data technology elements.
